High Rise Steel Structures Video

Steel has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any construction material. Moreover, with new construction methods, steel buildings remain a popular choice for office and multifamily developers. Use of girder slab, staggered truss, and castellated beam construction enables lower floor-to-floor heights than typically expected in structural steel buildings. Looking for long spans of column-free space? Steel delivers. Steel can accomplish extremely long spans in structures and very open-bay footprints without intermediate columns. It’s a very flexible material in terms of different ways to address design requirements.
Steel construction is most often used in:
High-rise buildings because of its strength, low weight, and speed of construction.
Industrial/Warehouse buildings because of its ability to create large span spaces at low cost.
Residential buildings in a technique called light gauge steel construction.
Temporary Structures as these are quick to set up and remove.
A high-rise is a tall building or structure
·Buildings between 75 feet and 491 feet (23 m to 150 m) high are considered high-rises. Buildings taller than 492 feet (150 m) are classified as skyscrapers.
The materials used for the structural system of high-rise buildings are reinforced concrete and steel. Most American style skyscrapers have a steel frame, while residential tower blocks are usually constructed out of concrete.
High-rise structures have certain features. The structures are high & lead to higher vertical loads and higher lateral loads (mainly due to wind stress) in comparison with lower buildings.
Here at JDCC, we have devoted much effort and time into the research and development of multi-storey high-rise buildings that are designed for rapid construction for large scale steel structures.
Highrise buildings, also known as skyscrapers, are buildings that are continually habitable and usually have at least ten floors. Skyscrapers are generally designed for commercial, office, and residential uses. A common feature of highrise buildings is their steel framework that supports what are known as curtain walls. Curtain walls different from conventional load bearing walls as they either bear on the below framework or are suspended from the above framework.
